We operate as a specialized real estate investment firm, focusing exclusively on the mid-term furnished corporate housing sector in Texas. We leverage technology to streamline operations and minimize risk, allowing us to command premium rental rates from traveling professionals in the area. This Field Researcher role is critical to our immediate goal of identifying key, non-MLS investment opportunities necessary for our aggressive expansion into various Texas markets.
The Role
The Field Researcher is an independent contractor responsible for local market intelligence gathering. You will be tasked with systematically driving through defined sectors of the city to identify residential properties exhibiting specific market signals. This role is crucial for helping our firm track available rental inventory and expand our operational footprint.
What You Will Do
- Property Identification: Systematically survey assigned residential and multi-family neighborhoods, identifying homes with physical “For Rent” or “For Lease” signage placed by private owners.
- Data Collection: Accurately record and document key information about the identified properties, including address, location context, and specific contact details found on the signage.
- Market Reporting: Submit organized end-of-day (EOD) reports via Google Sheets.
- Area Expertise: Utilize your strong knowledge of Abilene’s residential areas, particularly those near university campuses or major employment centers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled college student in the Abilene area (ACU, HSU, McMurry, TSTC, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet weekly reporting goals.
- Familiarity with standard mapping applications and mobile data entry.
Compensation
- Commission plus performance bonuses based on the quality and volume of verified leads submitted.
- Mileage reimbursement upon receipt submission.
