Job Duties:
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic patient care under the supervision of a physician
- Perform and document physical examinations and obtain medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Administer medications, including injections, as directed by a physician
- Perform minor office procedures, such as suturing and wound care
- Provide pain management interventions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options
- Participate in patient triage and prioritize care based on urgency
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Provide inpatient care
- Help plan and coordinate surgery (medical, imaging, and pre-surgical evaluations)
- Be the first-assistant in the operating room (setting up room, positioning, assisting, and closing)
Requirements:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in TX
- Willingness to live in Bryan/College Station
- Genuine interest in outpatient and inpatient orthopedic surgery
- Very comfortable with medical documentation via both dictation and EMR
- Ability to triage patients effectively based on their medical needs
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of physiology and medical terminology

- Strong clinical skills
