TCP is hiring a results-driven outbound business development representative (BDR) to join a growing team and contribute to new pipeline generation/growth. As an outbound BDR, you’ll make the first point of contact with target prospect accounts within your territory to acquire new customers. You are the type of person who revels in a challenge and has a passion for building professional relationships and generating new business for the company.

As a Business Development Representative you will:

  • Reach out to target prospect accounts and contacts within your territory daily through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Use prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects
  • Leverage content to drive engaging discussions that create opportunities to follow up with prospects through a consistent cadence of phone calls and emails.
  • Identify the needs and challenges of prospective customers
  • Educate prospects about TCP Software’s portfolio of products and services
  • Qualify prospects using BANT criteria (budget, authority, need, timeframe) to assess when a prospect is likely ready to enter the sales process.
  • Schedule discovery call or meeting for sales representatives
  • Assign/hand off BANT qualified MQLs to Account Executives via Salesforce
  • Research prospective companies to determine whether they fit our ideal customer profile
  • Update Salesforce with accurate account and contact details
  • Work on site at our new headquarters in San Angelo, TX

Requirements:

  • Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills
  • Self-starter who has the desire to learn, grow, and excel in his/her role
  • Strong work ethic and self-drive.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection or criticism.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams is a plus
  • Highly skilled in negotiation and persuasion.
  • Patient and able to practice good phone etiquette.
  • Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot and/or Marketo helpful, but not required
  • Experience using ZoomInfo is a plus
