The DFPS Communications office is offering an internship that provides hands‑on experience supporting the agency’s communication efforts across Texas. Our division includes internal communications, policy editorial, multi-media, and web teams dedicated to the DFPS mission and producing clear, effective, and accessible information for staff, stakeholders, and the public. We offer flexible work hours and a hybrid or remote schedule, depending on location.
We create, edit, and manage the agency’s websites, policy handbooks, print publications, videos, and multimedia materials. Interns will have opportunities to support these efforts through research, drafting newsletter articles, assisting with multimedia tasks, and helping with project coordination. This internship offers meaningful exposure to communication planning standards, editorial processes, storytelling, and the strategies that help DFPS deliver consistent, high‑quality information across all channels.
This position cab be remote, hybrid, or in-person based on proximity to a DFPS location.
