Under general supervision, responsible for providing a wide variety of moderately complex to complex technical support for a research facility.
Responsibilities
Assists in evaluating research methods, procedures, and techniques based on established objectives.
Implements quality control through tracking, recording, verifying, and validating laboratory data and forms.
Provides assistance in manipulating, computing, and analyzing data using complex statistical computer software.
Assists in searching source materials for research projects.
Performs library research, including finding literature and copying articles.
Assists in instructing an academic section in research methods, procedures and safety.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Possesses fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.
Ability to communicate and liaise with research participants, research team members, and other relevant partner/key stakeholders.
Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
Ability to perform multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Able to adapt to a controlled laboratory environment and learn new software or database systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting on a daily basis with supervisors and other staff.
Experience with laboratory animals is preferred.
- Three (3) years experience or one (1) year experience with an Associates degree is required.
