SUMMARY/SCOPE:
A University Events Student worker helps with the many facets of events here on campus. From alumni awards dinners, homecoming festivities, luncheons, University Christmas Party and more, our office provides logistical and creative help to make events on campus top notch. Along with the actual events, our office also runs the campus reservation and calendaring system.
This job requires someone creative, who likes making centerpieces, photobooths, balloon arches and more. Experience with glue guns, exacto knives, and painting is a plus!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help campus community through event reservation and calendaring process
Provide creative solutions to event issues
Help with the overall aesthetic of campus events assist at dinners (Some nights and some weekends) when asked.
Create centerpieces and decorations for events across campus
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate
Current Student at HSU
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Be able to lift 10-25 lbs and carry boxes from time to time
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Diverse working environment not always sitting behind a computer desk
